Pink Melange Coffee!
Alright, flavored coffee lovers out there! We have another fun and easy recipe for you. I want to clarify that this is a healthier drink than we usually create that uses beets. If you're not a fan of beets, that's okay. We have an optional choice for you.
Ingredients:
- Whole beets, grounded beetroot
- Milk (Whole, coconut, almond, etc)
- Honey (Any kind, or you do not have to add it)
- Vanilla Extract
- Strainer
- Mixer (hand mixer or stand mixer)
- Coffee (We would highly suggest our espresso or medium coffee)
Instructions:
I would like to start off by saying, if you do not like beets you can use color dye, cranberries or pomegranate juice! experiment with it! Again, we highly suggest not using flavored coffee, try our Espresso.
First, you will need Grated beetroot, you can buy this canned, full beets or even slices and just grate them in a bowl, we're looking for the juice mostly!
Preparing the Beetroot (The pink stuff)
- Add 400ml of milk to a pot (Can use almond, coconut milk as well)
- Add 2 tbsp of vanilla extract
- Add 200 grams of grounded beetroot
- Cook over low heat for 20 minutes (stir occasionally)
- Strain your mix into another bowl
- Whip the milk with a hand mixer on high for 3-4 minutes
Making Your Coffee:
Okay! We're going to make concentrated coffee for this, if you do not know how to make this click HERE for our tutorial!
Assembling your drink:
- Pour some honey at the bottom of your cup (To taste, or add none, can be replaced with syrup!)
- Add your beetroot mix to your cup slowly
- Use a spoon to push the whipped froth off the top into your cup
- Take a small spoon toward the edge of your cup and slowly pour 120ml of coffee onto the spoon letting it SLOWLY lay on top of the mix
- Mix and enjoy!
This can be a quite difficult recipe, but with patience we're sure you can do it! Remember, it doesn't have to look fancy, it just needs to TASTE fancy! Feel free to experiment and see what works best for you!
